10-Hour Continuing Education Course

Are you a fully qualified specialist, nail specialist, facial specialist, or licensed cosmetologist in Florida? Then, every two years, you have to finish a 10-hour continuing education course by October 31.

Until you finish the required continuing education course, you cannot renew your license.

The good news is that attending your class online will allow you to fulfill your 10-hour continuing education requirement.

Take the course on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Complete your continuing education need whenever it is most convenient for you online, 24 hours a day.

The Florida Board of Cosmetology has approved of our program. You can check out our Board approval letters here and review them.

All the hours and subjects needed to renew your license are covered in the 10-hour continuing education course. When you finish the course, you will have met all of the requirements for continuing education, and you can now apply to have your license renewed.

• Chapter 1: HIV and AIDS (2 hours)
• Chapter 2: Sanitation and Sterilization (3 hours)
• Chapter 3: OSHA (.5 hours)
• Chapter 4: Workers’ Compensation (.5 hour)
• Chapter 5: State and Federal Laws as Applied to Cosmetology (2 hours)
• Chapter 6: Chemical Makeup (1 hours)
• Chapter 7: Environmental Issues (1 hour)
